This paper reports a rare case of an 8 year old girl with an inverted mesiodens in association with a dentigerous cyst. Dentigerous cysts tends to develop more frequently on the mandibular third molars, and often are diagnosed around the second and third decade of life. There are just a few case reports of dentigerous cysts involved with a supernumerary tooth on patients under 10 years of age, this is why it is important to highlight the value of the panoramic radiographs on the early diagnosis of this type of lesions, thus, minimizing the risk of later complications associated to the development of the cyst, improving the surgical intervention and optimizing the prognosis.
