Modern dental practice is based on the philosophy of minimal intervention; a key component of the associated treatment plan is minimally invasive dentistry, which focuses on remineralizing teeth and arresting the dental caries process. In this context, silver diamine fluoride (SDF), acidulated fluoride, and fluoride varnish represent widely studied alternatives. Recent scientific evidence highlights that these agents promote enamel remineralization and reduce bacterial activity, although their clinical indications and side effects differ significantly.
