Facial patterns in panamanian students

This article is the result of a descriptive study that was carried out with the purpose of determining the facial pattern and relationships in Panamanian students of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the UIP.
Different measurements were carried out on a sample of 100 students, where it was determined that the pattern of the students of the Interamerican University of Panama UIP is that of a long face, with balanced thirds, where the middle third is enlarged compared to the upper and lower third; the eyes and lips are projected, the nose is wide-based, the chin in the female sex was found to be more prominent than in the male sex, and they also present a greater amount of adipose tissue in the neck area or cervical area.
All these findings are important to know the facial patterns of our population, and thus be able to establish standards that can be safely consulted when applying a corrective treatment. The present study can be considered as an exploratory approach to the knowledge of the anthropomorphic reality of facial patterns and relationships of the Panamanian population.
