Resumen

El objetivo de este artículo es identificar cuáles son las intervenciones clínicas más eficaces para el tratamiento de la periimplantitis alrededor de los implantes osteointegrados, como tratamientos no quirúrgicos, técnicas quirúrgicas, nuevas opciones como la utilización del láser o la importancia del mantenimiento de la mucosa queratinizada y la desinfección oral completa alrededor de los implantes. No existe evidencia científica que sugiera cuál podría ser el tratamiento más eficaz, por esta razón surge un protocolo antiinfecioso de terapia acumulativa interceptiva (CIST), como guía para el tratamiento de la
enfermedad periimplantaria.
