Abstract

This descriptive study aimed to evaluate the anatomy of roots and root canals in mandibular second permanent molars by cone beam computed tomography. For which 400 CT were analyzed. The results showed higher prevalence of two roots and three canals in the pieces. Regarding to the configuration of the root canals predominance of Type II and Type I was found in the mesial and distal root respectively. Finally, high prevalence found of C-shaped canals, being the type found c3.
