Resumen

Debido a que las fracturas radiculares verticales (FRV), son a menudo un reto diagnóstico al que se enfrentan los odontólogos y que,por lo tanto,exige una valoración meticulosa para poder confirmar este tipo de lesiones, se presenta una serie de parámetros diagnósticos confirmatorios, así como la prevalencia, factores etiológicos, patogénesis y tratamiento que nos orientan a reconocer una FRV de otro tipo de lesiones, pues las fracturas radiculares verticales en piezas con tratamiento endodónticoson un fenómeno frustrante tanto para el paciente como para el odontólogo,hasta no tener un diagnóstico acertado.
