Abstract

This paper examines David Easton’s political system model and its relevance in the contemporary world. It shows how Easton’s proposal, developed in the 1960s, provides a clear way of understanding politics as a cycle of demands, supports, decisions, and feedback. At the same time, it acknowledges that the changes resulting from digitalization and globalization have transformed political dynamics, creating challenges that the original model did not anticipate. The analysis concludes that, although the model remains a valuable starting point for studying politics, it needs to be complemented with more recent approaches that incorporate new forms of social interaction and global pressures.
