Abstract

Feminism has played a fundamental role in transforming societies by promoting equal rights between women and men. Through its different schools of thought, the movement has contributed to significant changes in education, political participation, employment, and the protection of human rights. However, challenges such as gender-based violence, economic inequality, and limited political representation remain. This article analyzes the evolution of feminism, its main contributions, and the challenges it faces today. The study is based on a literature review of academic books, scientific articles, and reports published by international organizations. The findings suggest that feminism continues to be an essential movement for building more inclusive societies, although significant barriers to achieving effective equality still exist.
