Abstract

The use of biomaterials for the elevation of the maxillary sinus floor allows the installation of metallic implants
and enables the aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of patients with maxillary tooth loss. Currently there are
different biomaterials that can be used in these procedures with different osteoinductive and osteoconductive
properties. It is fundamental to the dentist thoroughly knowledge of each of these biomaterials in order to
properly indicate treatment. Thus, the aim of this study was to conduct a literature review describing the types
most commonly used biomaterials in dentistry
