Dental decorations in Costa Rica
Abstract
There are many, if not countless, cultural expressions, customs, traditions, and daily practices that we Costa Ricans have inherited from the original indigenous peoples who inhabited and still inhabit these lands; many of these manifestations are indelibly engraved in the psyche and soul of the Costa Rican; others were demonized and discarded as a result of the cultural imposition that occurred as a consequence of the invasion and conquest carried out by the Spanish Empire more than five hundred years ago in the Americas.
