Abstract

This article refers to the Video Streaming tool use to teach Biology and Chemistry at the Health Sciences Faculty of Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. This TIC (for its acronyms in Spanish) has been used for two years within the teaching-learning process whose main objective is to provide additional support for the student’s training to reinforce their knowledge, and to observe remotely either live or recorded classes. In addition, this tool provides a chat that allows the students’ interaction with the professor. As part of the educational resources’ evaluation process and improving the courses of the Basic Sciences Direction, one proceeded to measure the perception of users on the importance and quality of the tool used to evaluate its success, through structured questionnaires addressed to a representative sample of the student population. The results’ analysis showed a high using percentage of this tool, more utilized by the Biology students, and indicating a strong tool’s acceptance by the students.
