Instructions

The article may be submitted through the website. It may correspond to an original research paper, clinical case, or a literature review, and must be submitted in electronic format (Microsoft Word for PC or compatible).

On the first and second pages, the following should be included:

  1. Cover page with an image related to the article on the first page, as well as the title, year, and name of the author(s)  (The use of AI, photographs of children, or explicit violence is not allowed). This cover must be in the same document as the article.

  2. Title of the article in English and Spanish

  3. Full name(s) of the author(s)

  4. ORCID identifier (if available)

  5. Institution represented

  6. Country

  7. Email of the corresponding author

Articles must be written in english and have a maximum of 8,000 words, although exceptions may be made (excluding the abstract, keywords, author note, references, tables, figures, and appendices).

Articles must follow the guidelines of the Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th edition (2019).

Abstract: To guide the reader and quickly and accurately identify the main content of the article and determine its relevance, an abstract must be included, no longer than 250 words. It should indicate the study or research objectives, the procedures followed, the main results (specific data and statistical significance, if possible), and the main conclusions. Emphasis should be placed on new and important aspects of the study or observations in both languages.

Keywords: These aim to select descriptors for reference searches in journals included in electronic databases. Choose four keywords in Spanish and English that help indexing services classify the study.

Introduction: Specify the purpose of the article. Summarize the logical basis of the study or observation. Identify the problem and justify the reasons for conducting the research. Formulate hypotheses and objectives if applicable.

Method (this in clinical case): Clearly describe how the subjects observed or participating in the experiments were selected. Identify the methods, instruments, and procedures used, providing sufficient detail so other researchers can reproduce the results. Include references for accredited methods, including statistical methods. Detail all medications and chemicals used, including generic names, doses, and administration routes.

Discussion and Conclusions: In this section, the researcher’s theoretical contribution is presented, and new knowledge and hypotheses for future studies emerge. Emphasis should be placed on the new and important aspects of the study and on the conclusions derived from them. When appropriate, recommendations may be included.

It is common for the conclusions to be included within the discussion. The answer to the research question or questions posed in the introduction, which led to the design and execution of the work, must be made explicit.

References: All references must be listed alphabetically, without numbering, inserted in the text (not in footnotes), and written in lowercase (except for the first letter), following APA publication standards.
