Interdependence of the Right to the Environment and the impact of the European Agrifood Policy: Campeche case

Abstract

This research aims to identify the legal tools that effectively protect the right to an adequate environment as a collective right in Mexico. The analysis of the subject is made from a case study research, specifically, the planting of genetically modified soybeans carried out since 2012 in Campeche. The study’s results identify the principle of interdependence of human rights as an adequate interpretive tool for the judge and establish the influence of private initiative in the enjoyment of human rights related to its primary activity.
